This position is responsible for managing the programs that enable Procurement to meet and or exceed departmental goals and objectives, business requirements and stakeholder expectations. These programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Continuous professional and organizational development, including career planning and succession and professional certification of the Procurement team
  • Standardized programs for use by Procurement such as category management, supplier relationship management, preferred suppliers/supplier segmentation, stakeholder engagement and capability building Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated / proven skills and knowledge required to create and manage those programs that build and maintain a best-in-class, high performing procurement organization. As procurement influence is still growing, the role will need to work closely with Leads to determine the necessary skills and experience levels to meet and or exceed stakeholder expectations and value capture. The candidate will need to have very strong interpersonal, written/verbal communication and problem solving skills as he/she will interact with all levels of the organization including very senior and high profiled leaders   The candidate must display a passion for professional development and continuous improvementProfessional/Organizational Development
  • Lead training requirement definitions and ensure existing team members and new joiners adhere to established global standards
  • Ensure alignment between required skills and experiences and systems, tools, program usage requirements
  • Develop and maintain procurement capability development training curriculum and training delivery program
  • Ensure professional development training curriculum reflects best-in-class/world-class standards
  • Benchmark with leading third parties to identify necessary skills and experiences and emerging trends Develop and manage a system to track development of individual development plans, professional development training and professional certifications
  • Program Development
  • Create required Procurement programs (i.e., category management, supplier relationship management, preferred supplier/supplier segmentation program, stakeholder management, negotiations, etc.) and update programs according to a defined schedule to ensure programs meet/exceed best-in-class standards to support sustainable world-class performance
  • Create and maintain standardized templates for each program for use by Procurement team, updating templates on a defined schedule to ensure compliance with best-in-class standards
Background & Experience • BA Degree in related field
