Master Scheduler

Summary: The Master Scheduler builds and manages a viable master production schedule that supports customer expectations (on-time delivery of quality product) and meets company key profitability and cash objectives.

Responsibilities include:
• Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Develops and manages the MPS in conjunction with forecasted demand (and demand curves)

• Sales & Operations Planning process
Owns the S&OP process and ensures that Demand and Supply are constantly aligned
Communicates MPS loads and restrictions to Manufacturing, Procurement and Sales/Marketing
Facilitates preliminary meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are met

• Data Analysis
Measures and reports Schedule Adherence statistics, demand tracking (forecast to actual), forecast bias and other metrics to meet business requirement
Develops associated reports
Demand tracking – determines forecast to actual to determine product variance
Oversees forecasting process and drives continuous improvement
Analyzes forecast change impact in MRP in terms of excess & shortages
Drives process to ensure that all demand is forecasted and ensures that system is used correctly as designed
Responsible for monthly Supply Chain KPI’s

• Inventory Management
Ensures compliance with inventory plans, turns and coordinates (with Sourcing / MRO / Planning Analysts) for parts and material availability

• Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP)
Ensures that plan capacity is optimized
Responsible for supporting production profitability

Requirements include:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Professional Association – APICS / ISM certification a plus
• SAP experience preferred; Oracle may be acceptable
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be metric driven
• Ability to lead and thrive in a cross-functional team environment

Manager, Supplier Performance

This is a newly created position reporting to the Director of Supplier Management for a major Boston-based FDA regulated manufacturer.

The result of a major strategic review of manufacturing capabilities, competitive advantages and the changing values of domestic/global pricing, this position was created to effectively realign internal capabilities as well as maintain internal and supplier control processes.

This person must be a visionary leader with a global business perspective who exhibits high energy and enthusiasm required to establish new approaches to supplier and program management. Must be knowledgeable in all facets of supplier and program management. Must possess excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a supplier management team in program/project cost, schedule and risk of assigned programs and present program status to senior leadership
• Able to develop solutions to a variety of issues of moderate scope and complexity
• Overall responsibilities for managing all performance; quality, delivery, compliance to specifications, price competitiveness, technical competence, milestone activities and overall business conditions
• Use tools like make/buy analysis, product life cycle and milestone charts to drive the decision-making process
• Develop a model to appropriately search out and investigate qualified suppliers and manufacturers developing new sources where necessary
• Identify cost driver and develop metrics to better understand risk

Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree (MBA preferred) in an appropriate discipline
• A minimum of ten years related experience
• Professional certification a plus
• Global supplier management is a must
• Demonstrated ability to conduct complex data mining exercises and analysis

Sr. Logistics Analyst

The Sr. Logistics Analyst will directly support the Director of Logistics and Distribution. The range of support is global in nature and will include the design and execution of quantitative and qualitative research, the development of business processes to monitor key market and technology trends in transportation, the development and validation of specific transportation strategies and evaluation and resolution of ad hoc issues with carriers and suppliers.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Providing analytical intelligence in support of global transportation strategies, goals and objectives
• Developing RFP’s for supplier evaluation and selection, including supporting the development and refinement of specific strategies through spend analysis, risk assessment, supplier evaluation and plant feedback
• Conducting discrete analyses of transportation modes and cost structures, including creating indices to assess and forecast the economic impact of fuel surcharges on transportation budgets
• Developing business processes to design, capture and monitor dashboard metrics for transportation as well as measure transportation performance relative to external benchmarks
• Developing cost modeling tools that generate lowest landed cost scenarios to support decisions as they relate to sources of supply, new product introduction, product transfers, inventory, DC strategies and operations

Director of Planning and Inventory

This individual will drive the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process along three internal manufacturing sites, five major business units and multiple global contract manufacturers. The function is responsible for generating and maintaining sales forecasting, integrating revenue plans and setting corporate inventory goals. The focus of this position is to assure appropriate policies and strategies are in place to meet revenue goals, aggressively apply appropriate technology to maintain forecast accuracy, and to develop sound S&OP metrics.

Most importantly, this individual must be the visible and credible face of the Supply Chain organization, becoming an integral part of senior management’s business process. This will require leadership: meeting challenges and resolving conflicts across plants and business units, monitoring and identifying needs for operational capacities and suggesting options for inventory investment and timing.

Although S&OP processes are currently in place and working well, the group needs to move from “pulling information” to providing demand-planning leadership. It must ensure that all issues are incorporated into the operational forecast in demand cycle meetings, and it must develop and incorporate into the S&OP process the FG inventory and supply planning modules to minimize the use of company cash and move to faster and more accurate performance. It must bring functionality to the above mentioned objectives.

BS required, MBA preferred
A minimum of ten years relevant experience

Manager of Supplier Quality (Job #2623)

Our client is embarking on a focused and aggressive supplier quality engineering program. Although still maintaining an in-house domestic and off-shore manufacturing capability, some strategic assemblies and final products are being outsourced.

In this role, you will develop and implement new supplier quality systems as well as integration throughout the internal quality and sourcing organization by:
• Developing, modifying, applying and maintaining quality standard and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials products.
• Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Designing or specifying inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducting quality assurance tests; and performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Specializing in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to quality and/or BLA’s (biological licensing agreements).

Our client is embarking on a focused reorganizational change for Indirect Procurement. Combining existing resources as well as reaching out to new hires, the new Director is charged with establishing a sourcing strategy as well as delivering major cost reduction in the coming year. This will be done through the use of E-sourcing tools and consolidating corporate and maverick spend, an aggressive review of contracts and supplier partnerships and developing a performance based internal team.

Requirements include a BS with advanced degree preferable. 2-7 years experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain including experience with Indirect Procurement. A strong qualitative background as well as solid communication and influencing skills.
