Supply Chain Manager, NPI (Job #2666)

This position will focus on defining and developing supply chain partnerships for core technology in support of existing and future products. This position will also include supply chain development, supply contracting, core subsystem qualifications and development of technology supply strategies and product roadmaps for core markets.

Qualifications:
• BS in Engineering is *mandatory*
• 10 years lead experience with Supply Chain contracting for technically complex products and subsystems
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications as well as competency in understanding complex technical specifications
• Significant depth of experience in developing definition of SOWs and NPI design requirements
• OEM electromechanical capital equipment experience in a technology environment
• Strong technical, contracting, program control and analysis skills
• Engineering program control or project management expertise and experience managing technical global supply partners

Sourcing Engineer NPI (Job #2662)

This person will work as an integral part of the sourcing team comprised of Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management. Experience should focus on supplier qualification and development.

Essential Job Functions include:
• Participating in strategic planning to meet customer requirements
• Coordinating efforts and providing detailed information at all levels related to sourcing, selection, qualification and benchmarking of suppliers (Supplier Risk assessment & Supplier Development)
• Working closely with the GSC & plants to assess AVL and driving research and results
• Managing requirements for all suppliers regarding the quality/system and regulatory compliance (SQE)
• Participating in the deployment of purchasing control systems and Supply Chain Systems tools
• Collaborating related work with SQE function and plants

Requirements include:

Contract Opportunity: Electro-Mechanical Commodity Manager (Job #2656) - FILLED 12/2009

Responsibilities include:
• Manage purchase orders to ensure that the suppliers are delivering on-time while minimizing the dollar receipts to keep the inventory in line to the corporation’s goals.
• Perform supplier qualification and selection for new & ongoing product developments keying on quality, delivery, cost, service and global presence.
• Work with cross functional groups to limit sole source suppliers.
• Collaborate with Engineering from concept stage through completed design to ensure acceptable component selection, DFM, and documentation criteria.

• Keep abreast of commodity trends both on cost and in lead times to ensure that our outsourcing partner’s stay on schedule.
• Develop strategic contract negotiations with key suppliers.
• Work with outsourcing partners to ensure best of class in materials management.
• Drive strategic supply chain programs to maximize material availability while minimizing inventory exposure.
• Achieve set P.P.V. / cost savings goals.
• Interact with all groups to meet compliance specifications.
• Assist with end of life (EOL) components.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Far East sourcing experience preferred
• Experience with the following commodities: sheet metal, machining, castings, plastics, cables, connectors, power supplies, mechanical assemblies, peripherals & OEM products

Inventory Manager (Job #2650) - FILLED 12/2009

Summary In this position you will lead the inventory control function for the business, from order entry through master schedule, MRP and control of in-house and external 3rd party stocking.

Essential functions include:
• Using production schedules, ERP reports, and physical counts, work closely with the manufacturing group to coordinate materials issued to work-in process, insuring that there is adequate supply to meet the production schedule and that inventory levels are kept within the prescribed levels. Reviewing, approving and coordinating the release of ECO’s insuring proper activation, disposition of materials and introduction in to production.
• Directing and coordinating the cycle counting of stores and work-in process inventory as scheduled and when an inventory balance is in question.
o Collaborating with Engineering and Production to optimize BOM structures and stocking strategy, so that extra handling is minimized, thereby reducing Cycle Time and Inventory levels
o Providing daily Planning and Loading schedules to factory floor to meet Throughput Goals in key departments
o Identifying the root cause for errors and reporting differences
o Performing adjustments within prescribed guidelines
• Processing ERP transactions to report production completions, material movement, shipments, receipts, scrap, rework and adjustments
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in forecasting, planning and execution of the demand/supply chain
• Tracking supply chain performance via a cohesive and comprehensive set of metrics; supply chain reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, cost and working capital efficiency
• Assisting in managing internal and external customer relationships (domestic and global)
• Participating in organization and execution of physical inventory

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
• A minimum of ten years experience in an inventory function within a manufacturing environment
• APICS certification
• Previous MRP experience, including implementation
• Must be a self-starter
