This person will work as an integral part of the sourcing team comprised of Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management. Experience should focus on supplier qualification and development.

Contract Opportunity: Electro-Mechanical Commodity Manager (Job #2656) - FILLED 12/2009
Responsibilities include:
Manage purchase orders to ensure that the suppliers are delivering on-time while minimizing the dollar receipts to keep the inventory in line to the corporations goals.

Inventory Manager (Job #2650) - FILLED 12/2009
Summary
In this position you will lead the inventory control function for the business, from order entry through master schedule, MRP and control of in-house and external 3rd party stocking.
Essential functions include:
Using production schedules, ERP reports, and physical counts, work closely with the manufacturing group to coordinate materials issued to work-in process, insuring that there is adequate supply to meet the production schedule and that inventory levels are kept within the prescribed levels. Reviewing, approving and coordinating the release of ECOs insuring proper activation, disposition of materials and introduction in to production.
Directing and coordinating the cycle counting of stores and work-in process inventory as scheduled and when an inventory balance is in question.
o Collaborating with Engineering and Production to optimize BOM structures and stocking strategy, so that extra handling is minimized, thereby reducing Cycle Time and Inventory levels
o Providing daily Planning and Loading schedules to factory floor to meet Throughput Goals in key departments
o Identifying the root cause for errors and reporting differences
o Performing adjustments within prescribed guidelines
Processing ERP transactions to report production completions, material movement, shipments, receipts, scrap, rework and adjustments
Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in forecasting, planning and execution of the demand/supply chain
Tracking supply chain performance via a cohesive and comprehensive set of metrics; supply chain reliability, responsiveness, flexibility, cost and working capital efficiency
Assisting in managing internal and external customer relationships (domestic and global)
Participating in organization and execution of physical inventory
Qualifications include:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
A minimum of ten years experience in an inventory function within a manufacturing environment
APICS certification
Previous MRP experience, including implementation
Must be a self-starter
